Living as a child of God
"See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are."
1 John 3:1

We believe that we are not supposed to live just as servants or followers of God – we are meant to live as his children.
Everything else we are, and do, as Christians flows from this relationship.

Living as a worshipper
“Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might and honour and glory and blessing!”
Revelation 5:12

In Heaven Jesus is worshipped continually. We believe that we were created to worship. When we worship we live as we are meant to live and we become who we are meant to be.

Living as part of a family
"Encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing."
1 Thessalonians 5:11

We believe that we are not supposed to live the Christian life alone, but in community. Church is not an organisation - it is a family in which we can belong, we can love, and we can encourage each other.

Growing strong in the word of God
"All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work."
2 Timothy 3:16-17

We believe that the Bible is the living word of God. We believe that it it reveals the nature of God, shows us his heart towards us, and provides certainty and truth in an uncertain world.

Growing strong in the Holy Spirit
"You will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."
Acts 1:8

The first people to follow Jesus could do nothing of significance until they were filled with the Holy Spirit. We believe that it is the same today, and we seek to grow in our experience of the Spirit's power that produces his fruit in us and enables us to operate in spiritual gifts.

Growing strong in prayer
"Pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests."
Ephesians 6:18

Jesus prayed. The Early Church prayed. All through church history prayer has been an essential part of Christianity. We believe that things happen when people pray and it is our desire to grow in prayer.

Going to individuals
"You are the light of the world."
Matthew 5:14

We believe that all who follow Jesus are called to be light in the world. Each one of us has a sphere of influence in which we can share the love and power of Jesus with others.

Going to the community
"So there was much joy in that city."
Acts 8:8

We believe that Jesus is able to bring life, hope and healing to our town and surrounding area. We partner with other churches and organisations in a number of projects that serve our community.

Going to the world
"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations."
Matthew 28:19

We believe that Jesus has given us a commission to take the gospel to the whole world. Our desire is to be active in fulfilling this through prayer, giving and going.
